Onsdag morgon 09.30 den 23 oktober landade vi på Mombasa flygplats. Väldigt varm luft fyllde våra lungor när vi klev ur planet och det var den första av upplevelser vi fick av detta land som vi är så nyfikna på. Vi hoppas att vi ska lära känna lärare och elever, att vi ska få se hur de jobbar i skolan och att vi tillsammans med lärarna ska planera vårt utbytesprojekt Together for human rights mer. Det kommer att bli så kul! Vi är också nyfikna på Kenya som land, på att få simma i Indiska oceanden, att på handla typiska kenyanska saker, att få äta kenyansk mat och att få se djuren på savannen.

 

Gilbert, hans fru Caroline och vår chaufför Gift kom och mötte oss på flygplatsen. Vi hade ganska mycket packning, så vi behövde hjälp med att sätta fast allt på taket på bilen:) Vi körde till hotellet Traveller beach hotel på nyalisidan av Mombasa.

 

Att simma i havet och poolen och vila efter en natt på ett flygplan var vad vi sysselsatte oss med resten av denna dag.

Wednesday morning 09.30 october 23d we landed at Mombasa airport. The hot air was the first experience of this place that we are so curious about. We hope to come to know teachers and pupils, to see how they work in school and to together with the teachers plan our exchange program Together for human rights more. It will be so fun! Of course we also are curious about Kenya as a country, to swim in the Indian ocean, to shop some typical kenyan things, to eat typical kenyan food and to see the animals of the savanna.

Gilbert, his wife Caroline and our driver Gift came to meet us at the airport. We had quite a lot of luggage, so we had to get some help to put it on the roof of the car:) We drove to the hotel Traveller beach hotel on the Nyaliside of Mombasa.

To swim in the pool and in the ocean and to rest after a night on an aeroplane was the next experiences of this day.
